Davies on his way back?

This article is awfully promising: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-cup/story/_/id/4856256/ce/us/davies-remarkable-path-recovery?cc=5901&ver=us

  1. I am skeptical. It doesn't seem possible and it certainly doesn't seem advisable for him to return until next Fall, i.e., at least a year.
It would be nice to have him back but there are lots of risks on this path. Too many players come back too soon and wind up re-injuring themselves or incurring new injuries.

  2. I see what dad is saying and the knee would be my first concern. athletes that tear a knee ligaments are destined for multiple surgeries in their career. (made that appt to get your knee fixed, Jules?)
My other concern is his style of play. He's not exactly shy. Overall, this is the best news I've heard in a while even if he can't make it to SA.

  3. This is exciting news. I heard it on the radio this morning and they described him as a bionic man now. He had 6 surgeries on his leg(s). If he's able to get back in April, he might be tip top by June. *fingers crossed*

PS Nope, not yet. It's resolution good for the whole year, so I still have time.
